With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement? My website has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any solutions to help stop content from being ripped off? I’d definitely appreciate it.

      Hey Hairstyles and welcome back.

I have never had an issue with copyright or plagarism *touchwood* I have put into place a DCMA policy and will remove any scripts that may have infringed. You can check it out here, and if you want to get someone to remove your content, follow this procedure on their site.

On the other hand when you do have a lot of content you want to protect, it does requires a lot of diligence and effort on your side. Copyscape is a website that check for plagiarism, but it’s not free.

All in all it’s quite a big topic, and you might want to search “how to stop people stealing website content” as there are a lot of good articles where it has been written in depth. But at the end of the day, it’s pretty easy to copy a website or page, or take an image.

Thanks , I’ve just been searching for info about this subject for ages and yours is the greatest I have discovered so far. But, what about the bottom line? Are you sure about the source?

      Hello Hairstyles,

I am assuming that by “bottom line” you are inquiring as whether this script is in the public domain?

Yes, it is! Feel free to use it in any way you see fit.

      Thanks for your comment
