Hi really enjoying your scripts. I utilise the wording using my own ‘stamp’ with my clients. Slight issue is the one or two like this high blood pressure. As a new hypnotherapist this seems very short, doesn’t seem to give me enough stuff to use with my client. Kind regards. Kevin.

Hi Kevin, yes this is a short one and a bit of a catch all and it only touches on a few of the causes of hypertension.; kidneys, diet and stress. It misses some of the other possible causes such as exercise, hydration, smoking, alcohol – even sleep apnea.

This would be a good stepping off point to move to the cause of HBP, if there is one as sometimes the cause can be unknown.

For example, in the intake, if your client reveals that they are sedentary, or a smoker or would like to lose weight, (or all of those!) then focusing on that/those issue(s) should also see an improvement on the HBP.

But also, look to add other scripts in; If the client is someone who appreciate cars or likes to make sure they are well maintained, then incorporating Health – The Car Metaphor script could be used.

If the client is a gardener, look to incorporate Rainbow Gardener or Healing Temple.

As you know, metaphor is often more effective than direct suggestion.

If the cause is unknown, then this would be a good client to allow their unconscious mind to find a solution. “As you relax deeper and deeper allow that part of the mind that is in charge of your health to scan the body’s “control panel” and make any adjustments needed to find a solution for the best health.” (have a pause for a while, while the subconscious does its things.)

And of course don’t forget Emile Coue’s “Every day in every way IT gets better and better.” (EC would say “I’m” but a small change to “It” will allow the the mind to sort out whatever “It” is.

Highly recommend that the scripts be used for inspiration and developing your overall understanding. Take the scripts and re-work them to make them yours so that during therapy you won’t actually need one.

Thanks for visiting and your comment.

Good luck with your hypnotic career!
